We Mean Business Expo

Talk Face-to-Face with Government Officials This Tuesday
10am – 3pm at the Crown Plaza
801 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick, RI 02886

The free We Mean Business Expo offers you the unique opportunity to talk face-to-face with the federal, state and local officials who regulate your business, provide advice and offer financing. Government agencies will gather in one place for just one day ready to answer your questions.

The Expo is like speed dating for small businesses. Instead of leaving the usual voice mail or email or visiting an agency’s website, the Expo enables you to sit down with a real person and talk through the issues that are important to your business.

Who Can You Talk With?

Among the agencies that will participate are the state Dept. of Environmental Management, state Dept. of Health, state Division of Taxation and the state Dept. of Labor and Training. Municipalities that will be there include Cranston, East Providence, Pawtucket and Providence. Look for the IRS and Small Business Administration, too. There will even be non-profits like the Center for Women and Enterprise, the R.I. Small Business Development Center and many chambers of commerce.

Workshops

In addition to the opportunity to talk with government officials about permitting, licensing and financing, there are free workshops including “Energy Efficiency: Business Programs & Strategies” from Presenting Sponsor National Grid, “State Fire Code from A to Z” from the state Fire Marshall’s Office and “From Employee to Entrepreneur” presented by Gil Lantini of the R.I. Small Business Journal.Get Help Registering a Business
