Washington Trust Sponsors Concert Under the Elms

PROVIDENCE, RI (September 6, 2012) – Washington Trust sponsored the annual outdoor summer concert series “Concert Under the Elms” held by the Rhode Island Historical Society (RIHS). The popular concert series featured some of the best musical performances around, under the canopy of elms at the John Brown House Museum.

“Now in its 16th year, the Concerts Under the Elms are a Rhode Island institution,” said Kathy Clarendon, Director of Development for the RIHS.

“These concerts could not happen without the generous support from our sponsors and we want to thank Washington Trust for helping us carry out our mission to collect, preserve and share Rhode Island’s history.”

Washington Trust highlighted the Concert Under the Elms series as part of its “I Luv RI” campaign, recognizing the concert series as one of the great things about Rhode Island. The “I Luv RI” campaign promotes Rhode Island area events, activities, and places through www.iluvri.com.
