The Referundum to Expand Casino Gambling at Twin River

Join us on Wednesday, October 21 for a special eggs and issues breakfast from 7:50am – 9:15am at the Twin River Event Center.

With unemployment at record highs in the state of Rhode Island, the NRI Chamber and the Coalition to Bring Jobs to RI view the referendum to be a win for Rhode Island in terms of job creation – it is projected that roughly 350 new jobs will be created, an additional 300 related jobs will be created and the referendum will protect 900 existing jobs; the infusion of new tax revenue is projected to generate roughly 16.2 million into the state; and there is an additional $60 million projected influx of additional spending to the local business community. Twin River Chairman of the Board, John Taylor, will discuss the referendum which would allow the expansion of casino gambling and the impact of Twin River becoming a full-fledged casino here in the State of Rhode Island.

Attendees of the NRI Chamber are invited to attend the breakfast to learn the facts surrounding the referendum before they cast their vote on November 6. To register, please visit the Chamber website at www.NRIChamber.com or call 401-334-1000. Cost is $20 for member who pre register, $30 for members at the door and $40 for non members. Breakfast will be served.
