StyleWeek Northeast and Child & Family Announce New England Fashion Designers for “AU COURANT” Runway Show Benefit Event

NEWPORT, RI – For the third year in a row StyleWeek Northeast and Child & Family will team up to put on the Fashion Event of the summer in Newport, RI. Embraced by fashion professionals and enthusiasts alike, this unbelievable night has become a hit. Through the collaborative efforts of Child & Family and StyleWeek Northeast, Au Courant celebrates and promotes the extraordinary creative talents of some of the finest designers in the northeast. It provides a sneak preview of designer fashions which will officially debut later in the summer and fall. While guests experience the energy of a major runway show they are also aware that their generosity is supporting one of Rhode Island’s oldest and largest social service providers. The funds raised at Au Courant benefit Child & Family and help make a difference in the lives of children and families in Newport County and throughout the state.
This Year’s Au Courant will again feature the talented women’s wear designer and “Project Runway” alum, Jonathan Joseph Peters. The creative and cutting-edge fashion designs of Jess Abernethy, Sarah Prost of Yellow Clover, Boston-based Luke Aaron, Avni Trivedi of Avni Fashion and Nick Pini will also be featured on stage. As in past years, StyleWeek Northeast will deliver a runway show that is designed to rival those seen in Paris and NYC.
While the runway show alone is enough to impress, Au Courant does not stop there. The evening includes a cocktail party, including open beer and wine bar, specialty bars, delicious hors d’oeuvres and exquisite desserts. Guests are able to bid on both silent and live auction items. This year auction items will feature Lunch for four in NYC with Project Runway Host and fashion guru, Tim Gunn, a 14 day luxury cruise for 2 from your choice of international ports with Azamara Club Cruises, as well as overnight getaways and an exclusive dinner at Gray Craig Mansion. Au Courant also features a designer sale where guests have the unique opportunity to discuss fashion trends with and purchase one-of-a-kind fashions directly from the featured designers. Tables of accessories, handbags and clothing showcase a variety of one-of-a-kind collections.
