StrategicPoint Promotes Derek Amey to Managing Director

PROVIDENCE, RI – StrategicPoint Investment Advisors announced today the promotion of Derek M. Amey to Managing Director. Derek joins Richard Anzelone and Betsey Purinton as Managing Directors of the firm. Mr. Anzelone and Ms. Purinton have been Managing Directors of StrategicPoint since 2010.

In this role, Derek will expand his responsibilities in the Advisory, Marketing and Technology departments. He will focus on the strategy and development of new initiatives to help StrategicPoint enhance its reputation amongst Southern New England’s independent investment advisory firms. Derek will continue to serve as a Financial Advisor and Portfolio Manager for StrategicPoint. As a financial advisor, Derek provides investment advice and wealth management to clients of the firm.

Derek earned his B.S. in Business Administration from The University of Rhode Island. He holds the FINRA Series 24, 7, 4, 53, 55 and 66 licenses. He appears as a regular guest on WJAR/NBC10 with Frank Coletta in RI. Derek is currently a board member of the Katie DeCubellis Memorial Foundation and serves as assistant Treasurer. He has been with the firm since 2001.
