Steve Kass To Return To Radio On WSAR In Fall River

WSAR 1480 am is pleased to announce the return of Rhode Island Radio Hall of Fame member Steve Kass to it’s live and local broadcast team. Kass will host a daily afternoon program from 3pm-6pm beginning Monday October 29th.

Kass began his talk radio career on WSAR in 1979 and then for the next twenty-six years, he worked for both 920 WHJJ and 630 WPRO.

“Coming back to WSAR is like returning home after being away for 32 years said Kass. WSAR provided me with my first opportunity to be a radio talk show host. What a year to start a new adventure in talk radio Prop 2 ½, the takeover of the American Embassy in Tehran, Gov. Reagan, John Anderson, State Rep Andy Card, are but a few of the events and guests that occurred in 1979. I have no doubt 2012 and beyond will be even more stimulating as we face so many challenges going forward. Best of all being reunited with Barry Richard and Paul Giammarco, two certified broadcasting Pro’s provide the icing on the cake.”.

“Steve’s extensive background in both the private and public sector gives him an ocean of experience and knowledge that few talk hosts can offer” said General Manager Paul Giammarco. “Steve’s professionalism and extensive radio experience will be a great benefit to the entire South Coast community.
