Providence-Based JaiCG Honored at 48th Annual Bell Ringer Awards Ceremony in Boston

BOSTON, MA — On Thursday, Providence-based public relations company JaiCG was recognized at the 48th Annual Bell Ringer Awards Ceremony. Held by The Publicity Club of New England, the region’s oldest not-for-profit public relations trade organization, the Bell Ringer Awards honor the superior work done by public relations and communications professionals across New England each year.

“PR is under increasing pressure to create and implement innovative ideas that have measurable, meaningful results,” said Karyn Martin, president of The Publicity Club of New England. “The work showcased at this year’s Bell Ringer Awards represents individuals and teams that are at the top of their game; having successfully risen to this challenge to make an impact for hundreds of brands.”

JaiCG was honored with a Merit award in the category of “Creative Social Media Campaign” for #ShareCommunity. The digital storytelling campaign, created for Grow Smart RI, illustrates how visionary people across the state are tapping into the potential of their communities to become more competitive, resilient, and more economically and environmentally sustainable.

“We share this award with Grow Smart RI, and are honored to be able to go toe-to-toe with bigger and more established agencies in the region,” stated Joseph Phommasith, JaiCG’s Managing Director, who started the company in 2012. JaiCG currently operates out of its 48 Weybosset Street office in the heart of downtown Providence.

#ShareCommunity includes a focus on urban revitalization, expanded transportation choices, and Rhode Island’s agriculture and food sector — three priorities that Grow Smart RI believes contribute to more vibrant communities and improved long term economic opportunity and quality of life. As part of the campaign, JaiCG has produced stories spotlighting individuals, communities, organizations, and companies implementing strategies for turning liabilities into assets for Rhode Island.

Phommasith continued, “We’re not in the business of winning awards, but these kinds of recognitions are nice indicators of the type of work we’re doing for our clients. And that is what’s most important.”

The #ShareCommunity campaign also recently caught the attention of The Rhode Island Foundation, which named Grow Smart RI the winner of its ‘2016 Best Practice in Communications Award’ at a May 10th ceremony that took place at Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island.
