Panera Bread in Warwick Invites the Community to Jump on Board and Support its “Raise the Dough” Preview Party to Benefit B’s Mobility Ride

WARWICK, RI – The Panera Bread at 1000 Bald Hill Road in Warwick, Rhode Island announces that it is inviting the public to jump on board and support its “Raise the Dough” Preview Party to benefit B’s Mobility Ride next Wednesday, January 7th from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. With a $10 donation at the door, attendees will enjoy unlimited samples of Panera’s new winter menu favorites and returning items along with a cookie decorating station while all proceeds will go towards securing a wheelchair accessible van for the McDermott family of Warwick and, specifically, their eight-year-old son Benjamin who is afflicted with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), a type of muscular dystrophy.

“My late brother-in-law had ALS so I became involved with the local chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association and got to know Benjamin and his family at various MDA events, including one held here at Panera last year,” said Ruth Devitt, General Manager of the Panera Warwick bakery-cafe. “We wanted to do our part to enhance Benjamin’s quality of life and we thought a Preview Party benefit at our bakery-cafe would be a great start. Panera Bread’s overall mission is to help Benjamin and his family reach their goal with a variety of fundraising events that will be scheduled in the area, all to be kicked off on January 7th. So, we encourage everyone to jump on-board, come enjoy the delicious new menu items and help ‘Raise the Dough’ for Benjamin’s wheelchair accessible van.”
