O’Brien Named Education Director for The Randall Family of Companies

Cely O’Brien, a sales associate with Randall, Realtors in Charlestown, Rhode Island has been named Director of Education for the Randall Family of Companies’ Rhode Island and Connecticut offices.

CHARLESTOWN, RI– Cely O’Brien, a sales associate with Randall, Realtors in Charlestown, Rhode Island has been named Director of Education for the Randall Family of Companies’ Rhode Island and Connecticut offices. She will be in charge of training more than 200 agents from 8 Randall, Realtors offices in Rhode Island and Connecticut.

In her new role, O’Brien will be responsible for surveying the educational needs of the company’s sales associates and developing and scheduling courses to meet those needs.  She will also coordinate with the training director of Kinlin Grover Real Estate on Cape Cod, another member of the Randall Family of Companies, to schedule national speakers for both brands.

“The real estate professional is evolving every day. Sales associates need to stay abreast of new technology, regulations, buying trends…there’s so much to learn.  I’m excited about my new role, which will allow me the opportunity to use the skills that I gained throughout my career, both in real estate and in the corporate world,” said O’Brien.  Prior to earning her Rhode Island real estate license, she worked as a team leader and new employee trainer for Duracell Battery in Connecticut.

In addition to her training responsibilities, O’Brien oversees the company’s charitable giving division, Helping Hands, which she initiated in 2010. Helping Hands benefits four human service agencies:  Charlestown, Rhode Island’s Frosty Drew Memorial Fund, the Domestic Violence Resource Center of South County, the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center which serves Southern Rhode Island and Eastern Connecticut, and Madonna Place in Norwich, Connecticut.  She earned a Good Neighbor Award from the Kent Washington Association of Realtors for her support of the children, elderly and abused citizens served by these agencies, all of whom have benefited from critical resources and dollars earned through Helping Hands’ fundraising activities.

An active sales associate, O’Brien  was named 2012 Realtor of the Year by the Kent Washington Association of Realtors. She resides in Charlestown, Rhode Island.
