She will give her presentation, Moving Forward on Your Own, A Workshop for Widows, Wives, and Friends, on Thursday, October 2nd at 5:30pm at Wanumetonomy Golf & Country Club. This event brings women together to gain hope that they are not experiencing difficulties alone. It is also for those who want to assist a widowed relative or friend. Kathleen Rehl is a leading authority on the subject of widows and their financial issues. She is the author of Moving Forward on Your Own: A Financial Guidebook for Widows. A widow herself, Kathleen is frequently invited to speak at industry meetings and conferences—sharing her story while educating attendees about important issues widows are often ill-equipped to face.

Her guidebook has received 10 national and international awards. Kathleen’s work has been featured in dozens of popular magazines, newspapers and professional journals. These include The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Kiplinger’s, Advisor Perspectives, AARP Bulletin, U.S. News & World Report, Consumer Reports, Investment News, USA Today, CNBC, Reuters, Bottom Line Personal and others. The U.S. Army uses her book in their Survivor Outreach Services centers worldwide.

Kathleen served widowed clients in her personal financial planning firm for 17 years before closing that business in late 2013. She now has more time for speaking, teaching and writing in her new firm, Rehl WEALTH Collaborations LLC. Kathleen’s core value commitment to helping her “widowed sisters” shapes her practical suggestions that serve widows well.

Kathleen has walked the walk about which she speaks and writes…focusing on women who have loved and lost, inspiring these ladies to move forward on their own…yet not alone.

John Finn is pleased to bring this noted speaker to Aquidneck Island. He says, “I feel there are many women here who could benefit from Kathleen’s knowledge and caring approach to the issues widows must face.”
