Governor Raimondo, Senator Reed, Senator Whitehouse and East Providence Leaders to Celebrate Opening of Aspen Aerogels’ Line 3 Facility

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI – Aspen Aerogels, an energy technology company, will celebrate the completion of its third manufacturing line with a ribbon cutting on Monday, October 26.  Governor Gina Raimondo, Senator Jack Reed, Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, Mayor Thomas A. Rose of East Providence, local officials and community members will be in attendance.  The company’s $30 million project is an important step in its long-term strategy for growth.  The new line expands the facility’s capacity by 25% to meet the growing demand of its customers and has led to a number of job openings.
