DiSanto, Priest & Co.’s Gervais Named One of R.I’s Top Professionals

WARWICK, RI, – Providence Business News has named Peter M. Gervais, a principal in the tax consulting and compliance department at Warwick-based accounting firm DiSanto, Priest & Co., as a winner of it’s 2015 “40 under Forty” competition.

The award is bestowed each year on 40 of Rhode Island’s top professionals less than 40 years of age who have distinguished themselves in their careers and communities. The individuals are selected from more than 100 applicants and will be profiled in an upcoming special section of PBN.

“It is an honor to be included as part of such a distinguished group of professionals from across the state and from such diverse fields. What we all seem to have in common is a genuine love for our chosen careers and the communities in this great state we call home. That makes all the difference,” says Peter.

In addition to his professional work, Peter has been a member of the board for the Providence Children’s Museum since 2012.  Currently, he serves as the organization’s treasurer and is a member of the executive, finance and investment committees.

Peter has over 15 years experience in public accounting and specializes in tax services for privately held businesses and high net worth individuals. He received his undergraduate degree (with a concentration in accounting) as well as a Master of Science in Taxation from Bryant University. His further professional education includes attaining the designation of Certified Financial Planner. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
