Buy Providence/Buy Art Celebrates with Brown University and Merchants Associations Dec. 6th

As part of the Mayor’s Buy Providence/ Buy Art initiative, Brown University has joined in this year’s holiday celebration. They have organized free shuttle service for Thursday, December 6 from 4 pm – 8 pm, to bring students, faculty & staff out to four Providence neighborhood shopping districts to buy local.

The trollies, arranged by the University’s Government Relations & Community Affairs, will run in loops between campus and in Wayland Square, Hope Street, and Westminster and South Main Streets. Drop off sites will be at: Hope & Rochambeau, Power & So. Main, Wayland & Angell, and Westminster & Union.

This is a great photo op & coverage is invited, with Brown’s shoppers carrying signature red totes. Each of the neighborhoods has holiday activities planned for the night – including carolers, Santa Claus(es,)holiday specials and family activities.
