Attorney Kelly Kincaid Named to Bar Association Board

PROVIDENCE, RI – Kelly A. Kincaid of Cumberland has been elected to the board of directors of the Rhode Island Women’s Bar Association (RIWBA). She is a litigation attorney with the Providence law firm of Higgins, Cavanagh & Cooney LLP.

The RIWBA is committed to improving and promoting the advancement of the status of women in Rhode Island and in the legal profession through philanthropy, mentoring and fostering close-knit relationships among its members. The association also offers accredited continuing legal education seminars targeted at the needs, challenges and issues facing female attorneys in their practices.

Ms. Kincaid practices in the areas of premises liability, product liability, and the defense of insurance claims. She is admitted to practice in the Rhode Island and Massachusetts state and federal courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. She is a 2005 graduate of Suffolk University Law School and received her B.A. summa cum laude from Providence College.

She is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association, American Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, and Defense Counsel of Rhode Island. Last year, Ms. Kincaid was selected as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers, New England.

Higgins, Cavanagh & Cooney is a 20-attorney, regional law firm which serves the interests of businesses and individuals in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut.
