New England Institute of Technology and the Carlozzi Group Announce Agreement on East Greenwich Country Club

 EAST GREENWICH, RI – New England Institute of Technology (NEIT) and the Carlozzi Group announced today that they have reached an agreement to operate the East Greenwich Country Club’s golf course and restaurant facilities. The property was purchased by New England Tech in 2010 and has been under private management since the acquisition.

 

Steven H. Kitchin, NEIT’s Vice President for Corporate Education and Training, stated, “We are pleased to have Carlo Carlozzi, Kyle Poland and their team operate the East Greenwich Country Club. Their long record of excellence as owners of Providence’s CirceRestaurant makes them an excellent fit for the country club.  With the club now under new management, patrons will have the opportunity to once again enjoy the 9-hole golf course and dining facilities.”

 

Highlights of the agreement include:

  • The immediate reopening of the golf course.
  • All 2018 golf memberships will be honored.
  • The Carlozzi Group will provide a restaurant experience equal to their renowned Providence restaurant Circe which will open by mid-summer.
  • The long-term agreement will bring stability to the club’s operations.

 

Mr. Carlozzi stated, “As an East Greenwich resident, I am pleased to bring another great restaurant to our community and to reopen the East Greenwich Country Club golf course. I personally know many of the members affected by the club’s recent closing so I am happy to be part of the solution. These facilities will further enhance the East Greenwich community. I look forward to an outstanding long-term relationship with New England Tech and the club’s patrons.”

New England Institute of Technology Receives Generous Donation from Arpin Van Lines

EAST GREENWICH, RI – New England Institute of Technology (NEIT) recently held a Dedication Ceremony at its East Greenwich campus in recognition of the many generous donations made by organizations and friends of the university as its recent campus expansion project is now complete.

 

Special thanks to Arpin Van Lines headquartered in West Warwick, Rhode Island, for its generous donation of $25,000. With more than 100 years of experience, Arpin is an industry leader in moving and storage services. The company has more than 645 agency locations throughout the United States. Arpin Van Lines is a division of Arpin Group, Inc., which also includes Arpin International Group, Creative Storage Solutions and Arpin Renewable Energy, LLC.

 

The Paul G. Arpin Lounge is a spacious fire-placed sitting area located on the first floor of NEIT’s first-ever 400+ bed residence hall that provides a comfortable space for students to relax and socialize. Taylor Arpin, the grandson of the late Paul Arpin, represented the company at the Dedication Ceremony.  He spoke about the common interest that Arpin Van Lines and NEIT share in the use of renewable energy in vehicles.

 

“It is an honor to unveil this space dedicated to my grandfather,” said Taylor Arpin. “He was always focused on being ready for the future and was a mentor to the next generation – just as NEIT is working hard to prepare its students for a rapidly changing world. I know that he would be proud to see all the work we have accomplished.”

 

NEIT President Richard I. Gouse stated, “We are so pleased that Arpin Van Lines is participating in the growth and evolution of our university. We are grateful to this fine organization for their generosity and commitment to our students.  We are proud to display their name in the lounge area of our new residence hall which is home to students from around the world.”

New England Institute of Technology Receives Generous Donation from Balise Auto Group   

EAST GREENWICH, RI –  New England Institute of Technology (NEIT) recently held a Dedication Ceremony at its East Greenwich campus in recognition of the many generous donations made by organizations and friends of the university as its recent campus expansion project is now complete.

 

Special thanks to the Balise Auto Group, headquartered in West Springfield, Massachusetts, for their generous donation of $100,000. Balise is one of the largest retailers of new and used automobiles in New England and employs more than 1000 associates at their facilities in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut.

 

The “hub” in NEIT’s new Student Center has been named the Balise Auto Hub in the company’s honor. Balise President, James “Jeb” E. Balise, Jr., along with company representatives, attended the naming ceremony.  The hub is central to the new 42,000 sq. ft. Student Center. Its spiral staircase, where the Balise name appears, is in the center of the building and links the first and second floors.

 

“Balise Auto and NEIT have enjoyed a longstanding partnership, which is why we were happy to support NEIT’s growth and expansion,” stated Balise. “We hope that the new Balise Auto Hub will provide students with a dynamic and welcoming space to socialize and relax in between their classes. We were so pleased to be part of this project and look forward to continued collaboration with NEIT. ”

 

NEIT President Richard I. Gouse stated, “We have enjoyed a successful working relationship with Balise Auto Group for many years as an employer of our automotive graduates.
