Wendy’s® Coupon Book Promotion Yields Impressive Results to help Rhode Island Children in Foster Care: $90,000 raised to benefit Adoption Rhode Island!

RHODE ISLAND – Local Wendy’s restaurants in southeastern MA and RI recently raised $90,000 to Adoption Rhode Island. The ceremonial presentation of an oversized check replica will take place prior to the Pawtucket Red Sox Game this Sunday, August 23, 2015 at 12:30pm. All are welcome to attend.

The donation was the result of Wendy’s Coupon Book initiative, during which customers could purchase a coupon book for $1 and receive four (4) Free Jr. Frosty coupons and four(4) Free Value size Fry coupons.  The net proceeds from the coupon book sales were donated to Adoption Rhode Island who will use the money to continue helping children in state care waiting for families.

“Wendy’s continued commitment to Adoption Rhode Island and to children in foster care in general has not only significantly increased awareness in the community, but has also directly impacted the children and families we serve on a day to day basis,” said Darlene Allen, Executive Director of Adoption Rhode Island. “There are more than 400,000 children in our nation’s foster care system and one quarter of them are waiting to be adopted. Adoption Rhode Island works every day to find families for kids in our community and provides the support they and their families need to flourish. The money raised by Wendy’s customers will directly help our local children find forever families. On behalf of all the children you have now helped…thank you!”
