P-TECH RI Announces New Website Launch

P-TECH RI program launches its first website bringing awareness of program
to potential students, mentors, and partners

Providence, RI – March 23, 2018 — P-TECH RI, Pathways in Technology Early College High School, announced today the launch of its new website at www.p-techri.org. The new website features information about the five Rhode Island P-TECH programs, student stories, pathways information, and how employer involvement is critical to student success and ways they can get involved.

P-TECH programs are public high school programs that integrate high school, college, and the workplace with a focus on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The result is a seamless pathway that allows students to graduate with a high school diploma, a tuition-free Associate Degree from CCRI (selected fields), and relevant professional experience in some of Rhode Island’s most high-growth industries.

“The launch of the P-TECHRI site is the culmination of work by all the programs working together, said Kris Turgeon,” P-TECH Industry Liaison at Tech Collective. “With 5 programs in Rhode Island, we felt it was time to create a place where students from around the state could learn about the exciting opportunities at P-TECH.”

The Rhode Island programs are a collaboration between 5 public school districts (Providence, Newport, Westerly, Woonsocket, and N. Providence), major industry partners such as Tech Collective, FM Global, UNFI, CVS, Electric Boat, Senedia, and the Community College of Rhode Island.
