Event benefits the Steven K. Latimer Memorial Foundation, which raises funds to provide scholarships for children who have either lost a parent, guardian or loved one to violence. The Foundation is named for Latimer, who was murdered in 2011 just days before his 24th birthday in a senseless act of violence.
This show is produced with help from Funny4Funds.com. The night features some on New England’s best comics, a cash bar, snacks and raffles.
The SKL Memorial Foundation also seeks any businesses that want to donate raffle items and/or become an Event Sponsor.
Tickets are $20 each and may be purchased through Myra Latimer-Nicholas at 401-256-8109. Information may also be obtained regarding the raffle and the Foundation’s signature event, the Sixth annual Steven K. Latimer Families Against Violence 5K Run/Walk that takes place on Saturday, September 31 at Roger Williams Park, Temple to Music, Providence.
