Evan Smith Set to Lead on the Destination Marketing Association International 2014-2015 Board of Directors

WASHINGTON, DC – Evan Smith, President and CEO of Discover Newport, has been chosen to serve on the Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI) 2014-2015 board of directors. The new board was sanctioned at DMAI’s 2104 Annual Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada. During the event, the organization celebrated 100 years of advancing destination marketing organizations.

“I believe the sustained success of DMAI is a tribute to the remarkable leadership and unique level of collaboration within our industry,” said Michael Gehrisch, President and CEO of DMAI. “DMAI is an association driven by its volunteer leadership, and we pride ourselves on creating an environment and community where you have much to gain and much to contribute.
