Chamber Announces RFP for 2015 Greater New Bedford Home Show Demonstrations and Seminars

NEW BEDFORD, MA – Exhibitors at the 2015 Greater New Bedford Home Show are encouraged to respond to this RFP for consideration in presenting 1 of 8 seminars at the 27th Annual Greater New Bedford Home Show, scheduled for March 7th & 8th, 2015 at Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School.

The seminars will be approximately 30-60 minutes in length and conducted between the hours of 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., with adequate time for set-up and testing of any equipment you may want to use during your presentation. The seminars’ primary purpose is to educate the audience and should not include an overwhelming number of references to the presenter’s company. Presenters may provide a single piece of literature about their company to the attendees. Here are a few topics that might be of interest:

·                     Remodeling on a Budget

·                     Creating Outdoor Spaces

·                     Energy Conservation for the Home

·                     Increasing the Value of Your Home

·                     Avoiding Remodeling Disasters

·                     Cooking Demonstrations (ex. easy weeknight dinners, dinner party ideas, etc.)

Seminar topics/themes will be chosen based on the presenter’s experience related to the topic, timeliness of the topic, and range of the presentation’s target audience. Presenters must be a member of the New Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce, or exhibiting at the Home Show.

Interested bidders should submit a brief written proposal using the following guidelines:

·         Contact name, company, address, phone, email, and fax

·         Chamber affiliation

·         Title of the presentation and summary (a paragraph to be used in publicity)

·         Speaker’s Bio (a paragraph used in publicity of the event)

·         Detailed outline of the presentation (what information/topics will be covered)

·         Target audience for this presentation (home buyer, seller, owner, etc.)

Written proposals must be received no later than February 6, 2015. Selections will be immediately incorporated into the marketing materials.
