ArchAngels Threading Academy – First Exclusive Threading Academy in Rhode Island

PROVIDENCE, RI – ArchAngels Beauty Therapy Services in downtown Providence announces the opening of the Archangels Threading Academy (ATA).

ATA is set to teach the ancient art of threading in the landmark building known as the Arcade, on 65 Weybosset Street. It is the country’s oldest indoor mall built in 1828, and has recently undergone an historical revival to include various local shops, services, eateries, and micro-loft apartments.

The Academy invites cosmetologists, estheticians, and  even established threading business owners to train/ sponsor their employees or an individual with a keen interest in being a part of beauty industry by learning and getting certified and then to work full-time/ part-time and create a career in threading, in permitting states.

Ms. Rekha Salwi, sole proprietor of ArchAngels and director of ATA, is a licensed cosmetologist and esthetician who has been threading professionally for the past 25 years. Even before the opening of ATA in RI, she trained many students internationally in this detailed skill. Those students have been running their own Threading Salons successfully, for a number of years now.

Realizing an urgent need, due to a shortage of properly trained and skilled “Threaders” in the USA, she has decided to share her vast experience by personally training and certifying students through her Academy, in this artistic and occupational skill. Once students complete the required Theory and Practical Course, they will graduate and be awarded with a certificate which allows them to operate as a Level I Treading Technician. If they so desire, they may continue on with the advanced course and graduate as a Level II Threading Technician upon its completion.

Not many beauty schools spend a lot of time on teaching brow shaping, and if they do- they briefly touch the subject and breeze through with teaching a brow waxing procedure as most of their students are there to become hairdressers or estheticians.

More…………………..

The past few years have seen a rise in the amount of threading establishments being opened, as this beauty service is gaining immense popularity. One can also see kiosks appearing in most of the country’s various malls or even individuals working out of their basements etc., where improperly trained, uncertified threaders with little or no experience have been experimenting on paying customers.

Many new clients have walked into ArchAngels with horror stories of pinching, bleeding or bad shaping resulting from this situation. It is of serious concern that these uncertified and inexperienced “Threaders” are giving both the art of threading and the reputation of the existing skilled and qualified business owners in this industry a bad name.

Most legal and tax paying threading business owners will agree that this can potentially stunt the future of this industry. In view of this unsettling situation, Ms. Salwi decided that ATA should not only teach this skill, but if possible also set standard procedures to be followed on clients who come in to avail themselves of threading services, all over the country. Ultimately it is the customers who will benefit from students graduating from ATA, as they will be able to identify who they can trust their brows to.
