Tech Collective announces partnership with Rhode Island Monthly to present its 2015 Tech10 Awards honoring Rhode Island’s top IT practitioners, digital media designers, and entrepreneurs.

Providence, RI – Tech Collective, Rhode Island’s industry association for information technology and bioscience, announced today it is accepting nominations and applications for its 2015 Tech10 Awards program. This is the program’s fifth year and the first year it will be run in partnership with Rhode Island Monthly. Established in 2010, the Tech10 Awards recognize the ten most accomplished professionals in the state’s IT, digital media, and entrepreneurial arenas.
Tech10 recognizes those who excel in their practice, demonstrate a passion for contributing to the success of others, and are pioneering in their technological and career achievements. For the technology community, Tech10 is the opportunity for Rhode Island business and industry to identify its exceptional participants and its future leaders.
“As an evolving media world embraces convergence and multi-platform providers of information, we are keenly aware of the role technology will play not only in our business but in the lives of all Rhode Islanders”, according to Rhode Island Monthly publisher John Palumbo. “As a media entity that provides an ongoing view of life in Rhode Island for the past twenty-seven years, this partnership is fitting to bring much needed exposure to the professionals who are involved in so many levels of technology development.”
“Rhode Island’s IT industry is an innovation and economic driver, but it is the people within it that make success truly happen,” said Kathie Shields, executive director of Tech Collective. “As we enter our fifth year of the Tech10 Awards, we are proud to partner with Rhode Island Monthly to shine the spotlight on Rhode Island’s tech industry professionals, entrepreneurs, and leaders.”
Individuals can apply for the awards themselves or submit nominations or applications for colleagues, employees, clients, partners, etc. at www.tech10awards.com. The deadline for all nominations and applications is Wednesday, August 19th. The 2015 Tech10 Award recipients will selected by a judging committee of industry professionals. They will be showcased in the November issue of Rhode Island Monthly magazine and honored at an awards celebration to be held on Thursday, November 19th, 2015.
