WARWICK, RI – On Wednesday, December 4, 2013, WorkDigz, www.workdigz.com, a new collaborative coworking workspace in Warwick, was launched at a ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony. The event was led by Paul Morse, owner and president of WorkDigz and Scott Avedisian, Mayor of Warwick, with the participation of Karen Jedson, Director of Warwick Department of Tourism, Culture and Development, Representative Frank Ferri, Councilman Edgar Ladouceur, and Lauren E.I. Slocum, president and CEO of the Central Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce.
Paul Morse said, “We were thrilled to have the Mayor, Councilman Ladouceur, Representative Ferri and the other key leaders in the community at this exciting event. We couldn’t have asked for a better and more supportive kickoff.”
The fact that WorkDigz is in Warwick is significant, given that Morse decided that this city offers tremendous advantages to people looking for alternative work environments. WorkDigz’s location in Warwick is convenient to the airport, hotels and transportation and there is ample parking.
Warwick Mayor Scott Avedisian said, “As we know, the economy and increasing technology are changing the way many companies do business.” He continued, “WorkDigz offers an innovative solution for freelancers, people who travel often, start-up companies and others who are looking for an affordable and convenient workplace. The amenities that WorkDigz offers its clients, coupled with its location – near the Warwick Station District, commuter rail and the airport – make it a great opportunity for new and existing companies alike. We wish Paul and his team great success here in Warwick.”
Mr. Morse added, “Working from home or in a noisy coffee shop, can be lonely – and often, unproductive.” He continued, “Having one’s own office is often an unjustifiable expense for small businesses. WorkDigz offers a solution – a comfortable, affordable, flexible office space that people can use on their own time and on their own terms, while interacting with others.”
The space includes state-of-the-art workstations as well as a plush lounge area, game room, kitchen, and conference rooms with conference calling and video conferencing. Some private offices will be available with membership.
Anyone signing up for membership during December will receive the month of December 2013 free.
Additional amenities will include an office receptionist, free high-speed Internet connection, copiers, scanners and printers, an address for snail mail, phone answering service, bi-weekly Friday and end-of-day meet and greets, free business-to-business seminars from mentors and other members, and an option to do a seminar for WorkDigz members. WorkDigz is also partnering with businesses and restaurants, fitness centers and caterers throughout the area, to provide discounted services.
WorkDigz memberships are offered on a daily, monthly or annual basis, providing first-class amenities and modern business services within all types of work areas. Members’ fees are as low as $199 per month. For information on memberships or partnering with WorkDigz, contact Jessica Northup, Jessica.northup@WorkDigz.com, 401-244-7429.
