WaterFire Welcomes Dana DiMarco, New Director of Philanthropy

Providence, RI – Dana DiMarco has joined WaterFire Providence as the Director of Philanthropy. Dana will be spearheading the newly developed Department of Philanthropy. She will be working side by side with Bronwyn Dannenfelser, Director of Resource Development as WaterFire Providence expands its role in the community.

Dana comes to WaterFire Providence after almost eight years as the Director of Development for Community Preparatory School, an inner-city school in south Providence where she led the development team in raising over $1.4 million annually to educate the students.

Dana has been a professional fundraiser for more than 21 years and has been actively engaged with more than 30 not-for-profit organizations including Bread for the WorldUnitarian Universalist Association, the New York Public Library, the American Friends Service Committee, the University of Rhode Island and many more.

Dana graduated from Leadership Rhode Island in the Delta II class. She has volunteered for organizations such as The Walk for HungerCommunity ServingsAngel PlanesWest Bay Residential and the Rare Disease Foundation of RI.

WaterFire Providence is a 501(c)3 independent, non-profit arts organization whose mission is to inspire Providence and its visitors by revitalizing the urban experience, fostering community engagement and creatively transforming the city by presenting WaterFire for all to enjoy. Created in 1994 by the artist Barnaby Evans, each year nearly one million visitors come to Providence to experience WaterFire making it one of the largest tourist attractions in the State of Rhode Island.
