Washington Trust Declares Increased Dividend for Q4 2013; Third Dividend Increase in 2013

WESTERLY, RI – The Board of Directors of Washington Trust Bancorp, Inc., (NASDAQ Global SelectÒ; symbol: WASH),today declared a quarterly dividend of 27 cents per share for the quarter ending December 31, 2013.  This represents a one cent increase over the dividend paid last quarter and is the Corporation’s third dividend increase this year.  The dividend will be paid on January 14, 2014 to shareholders of record on January 2, 2014.
