WESTERLY, RI- Washington Trust and Rhode Island Monthly recently announced Linda Mallory of Smithfield, RI as May’s I Luv Rhode Island photo contest winner. The photo, “Kayaks at Rest,” shows Mallory and her husband’s kayaks resting in the middle of Stump Pond in Smithfield, RI. The photo is in the May issue of RI Monthly, on stands now.

“What’s nice about the pond is that it’s peaceful, beautiful and you can explore all of the nooks and crannies,” said Mallory, whose husband is a competitive kayaker. “We’re fortunate that the state of Rhode Island maintains and monitors their parks and rivers the way they do,” she added.

“Rhode Island is filled with beautiful parks, ponds and beaches to explore,” said Joseph J. MarcAurele, Washington Trust Chairman, President and CEO.  “This photo highlights the diversity of activities and scenery Rhode Island has to offer.”
