Uncas Names Piotti Vice President of Operations

Providence, RI – John Corsini, President and CEO of Uncas Manufacturing, announced today that John Piotti has been named Vice President of Operations, effective April 2013. Piotti joined Uncas in April of 2012 as Division Manager of Operations and was promoted to Vice President of Operations, effective April 1, 2013.

Piotti manages the supply chain process and related operational logistics designed to enhance both quality and delivery. He oversees all business processes and applications, with a strategic concentration on efficiencies and contemporary supply-chain solutions to manage the company’s multinational facilities and global operations.

With 35+ years of experience in manufacturing, distribution and logistics for companies including Spiedel Textron, Pepperidge Farm and American Tourister, Piotti combines critical thinking and a seasoned perspective to implement innovative operating procedures and best practices while maintaining profitability in the ever-changing global business environment.

Piotti is also recognized for his focus on building and nurturing a team-centric corporate culture, cross-training employees and fostering a modern, flexible workplace where all levels work collaboratively toward the company’s unwavering commitment to competitive pricing, on-time delivery and rigorous quality assurance controls.

A resident of Cranston, he is a 1977 graduate of Rhode Island College.
