The Savory Grape Wine Shop Owners Launch New Venture ‘The Savory Affair’

EAST GREENWICH, Rhode Island (August 22, 2012) – Jessica and Nino Granatiero, owners and founders of The Savory Grape Wine Shop, have launched The Savory Affair Event Planning & Design, a company that plans, coordinates and creates events for companies and individuals, from corporate holiday parties, and weddings to fundraising events and wine trips to Napa Valley.

A natural extension of The Savory Grape Wine Shop, The Savory Affair features event planning and management capabilities that include procuring locations, catering and menu selection and coordination, floral design and venue décor, guest list management, invitations, music, photography, and onsite event coordination.

“Over the past few years, we have been ‘unofficially’ offering event services to our clients upon request,” said Jessica Granatiero.  “Our deep knowledge of food and wine, fine attention to detail and industry connections lead to us creating exceptional events.”

Based on The Savory Affair team’s expertise in wine and wine and food pairings, clients can expect a higher level of expertise in this area.  “If a client wanted to plan a wine-centric event, or an event with a more premium wine influence, The Savory Affair is uniquely positioned in Rhode Island to design such an event because we are in the wine business,” said Granatiero.

“I highly recommend The Savory Affair as we have worked with the team on several – from intimate dinners to corporate receptions to our Heart Ball,” said Victoria Smith, executive director of the American Heart Association, Southern New England. “Thanks to their expertise, our events have been flawless and stress-free.”

Well-traveled in the US and Europe, Jessica Granatiero brings her proven business success to The Savory Affair Event Planning & Design. Jessica has a background in business, creating in 2006 the nationally recognized Savory Grape Wine Shop. She has rich experience in events, for large multi-national corporations, small intimate home dinners, corporate team building wine tastings and charity galas including The Savory Grape’s own annual 300-attendee fundraising event.
