The Grace School at Meeting Street Celebrates the Graduation of its 5th Grade Students during Special “Stepping Up” Ceremony

PROVIDENCE, RI – Surrounded by family and friends, one by one, eleven 5th Graders from The Grace School at Meeting Street approached the podium to receive their certificates of completion during the school’s “Stepping Up” ceremony on June 20, prepared to begin the next chapter of their academic careers this coming fall.

Considered one of the Rhode Island’s best kept secrets among private schools, The Grace School at Meeting Street is an inclusive Kindergarten through 5th Grade school for students with and without special needs. Along with an academically-challenging environment—90 percent of students read at or above grade-level proficiency—The Grace School fosters the emotional and social growth that instills compassion, respect, and an understanding of all people at a young age.

Some of the students departing from The Grace School will go on to attend Providence Country Day, San Miguel School, and Sophia Academy in September.

“We are so proud of our graduates and the accomplishments they’ve achieved during their time at The Grace School—each and every one of them are not only prepared to continue their education, but to also be caring members of our communities,” said Margaret Knowlton, Head of School for The Grace School at Meeting Street. “When parents send their children to The Grace School, they do so with an understanding of the life-long benefits our inclusive model offers as well as our use of Individualized Education Programs designed to meet each child’s specific needs; we truly believe there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to bringing out the best in every student.”

The Grace School is currently accepting students for the 2014—2015 academic year. For more information, or to schedule a tour of the school, please call Meeting Street at (401) 533-9104 or visit their website at www.MeetingStreet.org.
