New England Institute of Technology to Hold 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

WARWICK, RI – Students from New England Institute of Technology’s Criminal Justice Club have collaborated with local police and fire departments seeking their participation in a ceremony to commemorate the victims of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. This year marks the 14th anniversary of this tragic event. The program will include inspirational readings, a wreath laying ceremony, and a bagpipe presentation by a member of the Cranston Police Department. The public is invited to attend.

WHEN:     Thursday, September 10, 2015, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

WHO:     Police Officers from the following Rhode Island municipalities:

Warwick, Cranston, Woonsocket, Providence, and South Kingstown

Administration, faculty and students from New England Tech

 

WHY:  It has been the tradition of New England Tech’s Criminal Justice Club members to remember those individuals whose lives were tragically lost on September 11, 2001. In keeping with the Criminal Justice Club’s mission of service to others, the 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony honors those first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice in their attempt to save the lives of individuals affected by the various terrorist attacks while remembering the innocent victims who also lost their lives.
