Southern New England Women’s Expo – Bringing small businesses and female consumers together

LINCOLN, RI – Empowerment, fun and connecting female consumers with small businesses is the goal of the Southern New England Women’s Expo being held April 14, 2013 at Twin River Event Center from 11am to 5pm. In its 10th year, the Expo is the area’s longest running women’s event “created for and dedicated to” the celebration of women.” The one-day event offers women of all ages the opportunity to be pampered, shop, learn and be inspired to live their best life through informative workshops focusing on health, finances, business, family, life balance, career, style, relationships and so much more.

American women account for about $5 trillion annually in consumer purchases, which ismore than half of the U.S. GDP and they influence 85% of all purchasing decisions includingautos and health care. The businesses exhibiting this year will have the opportunity to showcase,face-to-face, their products and services to the more than 9,000 women from Rhode Island andSoutheastern Massachusetts, who are expected to attend the Expo,

“The Expo is an incredibly smart way for small businesses to interact with the peoplewho make the majority of consumer spending decisions – women, while they are having fun,”said Pat Paolino Cruz, founder and co-producer of Southern New England Women’sExpo. “We’ve created an affordable way for many small businesses who have limited marketingbudgets, to make a big impact by providing the opportunity for them to promote their brand tolocal female consumers and hopefully create longtime relationships with their target customerbase. To me, it’s encouraging to know we are doing our part to help small businesses andthe local economy.” said Ms. Cruz.

The Expo, which is held twice a year, affords attendees the opportunity to talk withexperts about issues that are important to them while enjoying entertainment, fashion shows, livecooking demonstrations with top area chefs, wine tastings, makeovers, fitness, shop with localbusinesses, and much more.
