Secured Network Services Opens Rhode Island Office to Serve Growing Customer Base

NORWOOD, MA – Secured Network Services (SNS), a leading provider of advanced IT services and trusted partner to businesses and nonprofit institutions, announced today that it will open a new office in Providence, Rhode Island. This latest expansion marks the third location for the company, which is headquartered in Norwood, Mass., and has an existing site in Littleton, NH. The company will celebrate a grand opening event on May 14th beginning at 5 p.m. at 18 Imperial Place, and the Providence business community is invited to attend. Democratic gubernatorial candidate Gina Raimondo will also be in attendance to provide remarks, beginning at approximately 6 p.m.

SNS delivers the mission-critical services that businesses rely on, including IT support and planning, disaster recovery, private cloud services and data center hosting. The company works with recognized companies throughout Rhode Island and in over 45 major U.S. cities, including Beacon Hill Staffing Group and Bergmeyer Associates, and holds multiple high-level partnerships with organizations including Cisco Systems, Microsoft, VMware, HP and Symantec. As a pioneer in managed IT solutions, SNS has developed innovative strategies to manage rapidly growing businesses through a commitment to customer service and addressing complex strategies with simple and sound solutions. These include innovative services such as the use of a private data center constructed at its Littleton location to provide power and internet grid redundancy for off-site and on-demand business continuity.

Since its founding in 2003, the company has expanded to nearly 30 employees and achieved an average growth rate of 31 percent over the last ten years. The opening of the Providence office, located near the heart of downtown, reflects an expanding client list in southern New England. Currently, SNS provides IT consulting services to Meeting Street, a Providence-based nonprofit focused on an inclusive education for all children; KVH Industries, a Middletown company specializing in in-motion satellite TV and communications systems; and Pawtucket-based Embolden Design, a website design company, among other clients.

“SNS is a welcome addition to Rhode Island’s innovation economy,” said Gina Raimondo, Rhode Island’s general treasurer and Democratic candidate for governor. “It’s great to see businesses moving in to Rhode Island and it is essential that we find ways to encourage further economic growth.”

In addition to bringing its services to customers throughout the Providence metro area, SNS’ newest office also reflects a homecoming for its executive team. Kevin Low (founder and president), Brad Mirza (vice president, sales) and Paul Low (controller), were born and raised in Rhode Island. Kevin and Brad, along with Ryan Russo (director of operations), Josh Abrams (director of customer engineering) and Ted Casassa, (vice president of engineering) are all alumni from the University of Rhode Island.

“We are pleased to announce the opening of our third location, which better enables us to serve clients throughout the Manchester, Boston and now Providence regions,” said Kevin Low of SNS. “Our customers are delivering innovative products and services every day, and we’re honored to play a role in their missions by fulfilling their unique IT needs. The positive momentum SNS is experiencing is a success we can all share in, and we’re excited to bring new opportunities and services to the Rhode Island economy.”
