Girls Audition Attire:   
Ballet leotard with pink tights. Pointe shoes are required if studied pointe.Boys Audition Attire:
T-shirt, tights and white ballet shoes.  

Fee:

$20 audition feeAll dancers must attend the 12:30pm audition class conducted by Artistic Director Herci Marsden.

SCHOLARSHIP AUDITIONS
The dancers of The State Ballet of Rhode Island are a dedicated group of young people who have achieved a certain level of technique and ability. Annual scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis and are based on talent, financial need, or both.

Requirements:

You must be an auditioning dancer or current SBRI dance member to apply.  Scholarship applicants must take the 12:30pm audition class. Beginning at 2:00 pm, a solo presentation, up to 2 ½ minutes, is required of scholarship applicants.

Chosen by SBRI Artistic Director & Judges (for female dancer)

The “Sir Anton Dolin Scholarship”

Chosen by SBRI Artistic Director and Judges (for male dancer)

The “Oskar Harmos Scholarship”

Chosen by SBRI Artistic Director and Judges (for male or female)

The “Joseph Levinhoff Scholarship”

Chosen by SBRI Artistic Director and Judges (for male or female)

The “Mia Slavenska Scholarship”

Chosen by SBRI Artistic Director and Judges (for male or female)
