“Rising Above The Rest” Award Winners Announced

WARWICK, RI – (October 9, 2012) The Central Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce this year’s award winners of Rising Above The Rest, recognizing the outstanding contributions and achievements made to the community.  “It gives us great pleasure to honor these outstanding business leaders”, said Lauren Slocum, Chamber President/CEO.  “We hope the community will join us on Friday morning November 9th from 8:00 – 9:15 a.m. as we celebrate the accomplishments these individuals, companies and advocates have made.”

The Al Andrews Community Achievement Award winner is Stephen Hinger, Drum Rock Products; Business of the Year (1-49 employees) – Dancin’ Feelin’ Ltd; Not-For-Profit Business Person of the Year (1-49 employees) – Geoff Schoos, RI Center for Law and Public Policy; Conquering Adversity Award Winner – NYLO Hotel – Providence Warwick; Volunteer of The Year –Coastway Community Bank; Business Mentor of the Year – Adriana Dawson, RI Small Business Development Center – Johnson & Wales University; Young Professional of the Year – Nicholas Slocum, Slocum Realty/Slocum Insurance; Media Person of the Year – Gil Lantini, RI Small Business Journal (RISBJ) and Chamber Advocate of the Year – Terri Abbruzzese, PuroClean Disaster Restoration Services .
