Providence Animal Rescue League’s 24th Annual Pet Walk

PROVIDENCE, RI (August 1, 2012) – Join hundreds of animal lovers and their dogs for the Providence Animal Rescue League’s (PARL) 24th Annual Pet Walk at Roger Williams Park, Providence, RI, on Saturday, September 22nd from 10 AM – 3PM. Individuals and Packs can participate in this fundraising event to support the PARL’s mission to provide compassionate care to the thousands of homeless animals throughout Rhode Island and southern New England each year.

Registration opens at 10AM with family-friendly activities for all until 3 PM. The registration fee is $20.00 per person including lunch. Activities include a Canine Costume Contest with a “FOOD” theme, a Doggie Day Spa, shopping at Mutt’s Marketplace, and kid-friendly activities at the Kids Kennel. Adoptable animals will also be featured at PARL’s adoption van. Prizes will be awarded to top fundraisers and participants will have a chance to win raffle prizes.
