Plimoth Investment Advisors promotes Sandra L. Sevigney to First Vice President/Retirement Plan Spet

Hanover, MA – Plimoth Investment Advisors today announced the promotion of Sandra L. Sevigney of Assonet, MA to the position of First Vice President/Retirement Plan Spet.  She was formally a Vice President/Retirement Plan Spet. Plimoth Investment Advisors is a portfolio management firm that specializes in investment management, trust services, retirement plans, and estate administration for both private and institutional clients.  The firm is joint-owned by BayCoast Bank and Dedham Institution for Savings.

As First Vice President/Retirement Plan Spet, Sevigney is responsible for business development with respect to all types of retirement plans, including 401(k), pension, profit sharing, 457 and non-qualified plans.  She manages the ongoing administration of employee benefit accounts, providing her customers with superior customer service.  She also assists employers with establishing new plans and conducts employee educational meetings on an ongoing basis.

Prior to joining Plimoth Investment Advisors, Sevigney was employed as Vice President/Trust Officer at the Bank now known as BayCoast Bank. She has over 38 years of experience in the trust and employee benefit industry, having worked at Rockland Trust Company, BayBank, and New York Life Benefit Services.

Sevigney holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. She has been awarded the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies, and received a certificate from the Certification Professional Education Program at the College for Financial Planning. She is a graduate of the New England School of Banking Trust School at Williams College and has received the Certified Retirement Services Professional (CRSP) designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers. She is a currently a board member of the AARP Money Management Program sponsored by Coastline Elderly/Bristol Elder Services, and is President of the Board of Directors of Steppingstone, Inc. in Fall River, MA. She currently serves as the Chair of the fundraising committee for the St. Mary’s Education Scholarship Fund and was formerly a Junior Achievement volunteer. She is also a past member (and former Board member) of the Bristol County Estate Planning Council.
