North Kingstown Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors Opens Nominations for the Board of Directors

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI – The North Kingstown Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is pleased to open, to the chamber community, nominations for the Board of Directors.  We are looking for individuals who want to take an active role in the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce and in promoting the mission of our Chamber “to act on the needs and interests of the business community to make the area a better place to  live and work”.

Position Objective:  To serve the organization in a governance capacity.  To set goals, objectives and policies that will maintain and advance the organization to support its member businesses and the community at large.

Candidates should be:

1. An active member, in good standing, with the North Kingstown Chamber of Commerce.
2. Have a strong interest in furthering business initiatives in North Kingstown.
3. Have the ability to make decisions within their own company/business/organization.

Expectations of Board Members:

1. Serve a two year term, with a limit of three consecutive terms or a total of 6 consecutive years.
2. Each board member is expected to identify and close a minimum of at least two membership sales each year.
3. Each board member will serve on at least one standing committee of the board and will participate in at least one event sponsored by the North Kingstown Chamber of Commerce.
4. All board members will participate in the Annual Golf Tournament is some fashion, be it time, volunteering or monetarily.
5. Board members will contact by email, phone, or in person five chamber members three times a year.
