PEACE DALE, RI – Animal Rescue Rhode Island (ARRI) announces that Joseph R. DeQuattro, of Attleboro, Mass., has been named to its Board of Directors for the 2015-2016 term.

Mr. DeQuattro will be serving as treasurer for the nine-member board. He will be joining Douglas J. Rubinstein, president; Michele Vidmar, vice president; Susan Seyfarth Lovejoy, secretary; and board members Julia Boss, Denny Denelle, Thomas Gulluscio, Jr., Kurt Jamiel, and Deborah Elliott.

A tax executive director with the Providence office of Ernst &Young LLP, Mr. DeQuattro has 27 years of experience in public accounting, working with both multinational public and private companies in industries such as manufacturing, public utilities, biotech/pharma, and technology. A CPA in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, he holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration and a master of science degree in taxation from Bryant University.

Mr. DeQuattro is a former board member on Rhode Islanders Sponsoring Education (RISE), where he served as treasurer and executive committee board member from 2009-2012.

As to his new role with ARRI, Mr. DeQuattro says he enjoys animals and has adopted some 15 pets over the years, including two cats from a no-kill shelter who were deemed to be terminally ill and “unadoptable,” but whom he had for over a decade. “I have always had a passion for animals and am very interested in a position that would allow me to contribute more to help the least fortunate of them,” says Mr. DeQuattro.
