Indian Lake Photograph Appears in November Issue of RI Monthly

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI – (October 24, 2012) Washington Trust and Rhode Island Monthly announced today that “A Perfect Fall Day,” a photograph taken at Indian Lake in South Kingstown, R.I. by Philip MacCarthy, of Warwick, R.I., is the recent winner of the I Luv RI 2012 photo contest. MacCarthy’s photo appears in the November issue of Rhode Island Monthly Magazine, on newsstands this week.
“I took the photo a few years back when I moved here from San Diego, CA, after being in what some would say the best weather in the United States, and realized there is something heart warming, rejuvenating and serene about fall in Rhode Island,” said MacCarthy. “Everyone must take time to sit still and watch the leaves turn.”
“Some of the best fall foliage is right here in the Ocean State,” stated Joseph J. MarcAurele, Washington Trust Chairman, President and CEO. “Philip’s photograph depicts fall in Rhode Island at its best.”

Each month in 2012, a winning photo will be selected and published in Rhode Island Monthly magazine.
