HealthSource RI Releases Enrollment, Demographic and Volume Data Through December 13, 2014

PROVIDENCE, RI – HealthSource RI (HSRI) has released enrollment data, certain demographic data and certain volume metrics through Saturday, December 13, 2014, for Open Enrollment.

“HealthSource RI’s year two open enrollment is off to a good start,” HealthSource RI Director Christine Ferguson said. “Although I’m pleased with our enrollment figures to date, we still have a lot of work ahead of us as we make our way to the close on February 15. I’m confident we’ll continue to build on our success as one of the top performing exchanges in the country to benefit more and more Rhode Island families and small businesses in the new year.

“HealthSource RI is bringing transparency and competition to consumers,” Ferguson added. “To date, 48% of 2014 enrollees have renewed for coverage in 2015. Consumers are carefully considering their options and responding to increased choice and better rates on HSRI. Roughly 60% are choosing different plans when they do renew. In addition, the volume of calls, walk-ins to the contact center and website visits is more than double of that which we experienced in 2014 open enrollment.”
