WESTERLY, RI – (October 9, 2012) Harriet Grayson, author of “Guide to Government Grants Writing” & “Government Opportunities for Small Business”, seminar leader and speaker, fundraising consultant, aka Grants Guru Grayson, offers a seminar on Government Grants Writing October 19, 2012.

This workshop is designed for those needing or wanting to gain an understanding of the grants process including how to research, write andH apply for grants. The “GOVERNMENT” workshop focuses on local, state and federal government process but will also review how to generally research grants. The objective is for each student to develop a “Grant Template” that can have multiple uses for those seeking grants from a variety of sources.  Everyone leaving the workshop will know how to register with grants.gov and be familiar with the tools available from public libraries through their collection of The Foundation Center materials.

Harriet Grayson of Westerly, RI, President of 5 Star Seminars and Publisher of Ocean Breeze Press, is an accomplished speaker, author, fundraising consultant (previously a partner in Focus Fundraising) and former insurance executive and urban planner.  She has worked in the private, public and non-profit sectors writing grants and organizing special events. She was educated as an urban planner (M.U.P., NYU) and urban sociologist/demographer (B.A. Queens College, M.A. University of Denver).
