Governor Raimondo to be Keynote Speaker at NRI Chamber Annual Dinner on February 10th

LINCOLN, RI – Governor Gina Raimondo will be the keynote speaker at the Northern Rhode Island Chamber’s 24th Annual Dinner at the Twin River Event Center on Tuesday, February 10th. The evening begins with a cocktail reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner and a speaking program.

Governor Raimondo is the 75th Governor of Rhode Island and its first woman governor. Prior to being elected governor, she served as General Treasure of Rhode Island. Raimondo’s agenda is designed to kick start the state’s economy and create jobs.

“We are excited that the Governor chose to make the Chamber dinner her first major event in northern Rhode Island.”, said John C. Gregory, Chamber President and CEO.

The Chamber will also announce this year’s honored recipients of the distinguished Barbara Burlingame and Ben Mondor awards.

The award recognizes individuals who exhibit the highest standards of excellence, dedication, and accomplishment in the public service arena.

The Ben G. Mondor award was established in 2011 to honor the former owner of the Pawtucket Red Sox. This philanthropic award is given to an individual who goes above and beyond philanthropically, within the community.
