Find “Elf Jon” and Win!

The Nick Slocum Team at Slocum Realty want to celebrate the month of December and the upcoming holiday season by sponsoring an on-line contest with prizes and donations to local charities in the winner’s name.

This contest is open to anyone Southern New England, where the Slocum Team has a presence. Contestants register on-line and search for clues in finding one of St. Nick’s helpers, “Elf Jon,” while also liking and sharing posts from that day.

Each person doing that receives points and at the end of the week, the person with the most points wins some cool prizes. Those pries include a $50 gift card to either Starbucks or Dunkin, a Yeti Tumbler, an Instagram photo with “Elf Jon” and a charitable donation made on behalf of the winner’s choosing. The amount donated will be based on the winner’s number of points that week.

Nick Slocum Team Partner and Realtor, Jon Tetrault, AKA “Elf Jon,” said the idea for the contest is two-fold. The first is to provide new and interactive ways to help market their listings at this time of year. The other is to find ways of giving within the community.

“The team searched for different ways of getting the point across that once winter hits does not mean we close for the season,” he said. “We want people who want to find their first home, their next home and other living arrangements to give it some real thought. There are ways of making it easy for potential buyers and sellers to get together before the holidays and make the connection.”

They recently announced the winner of week one, who earned 108 points during the first week. The winner not only received the aforementioned prizes, but The Nick Slocum Team donated $108 to The Rhode Island Chapter of Pink Heels, an organization dedicated to helping raise funds and awareness for those affected by cancer.
