FILM STUDIO BACK To Original Programs & Looking Local

After 10 years of creating branded multimedia for a number of corporations, nonprofits and start ups, IFP Films (www.ifpfilms.com) has once again begun developing and creating original programming. Currently, there is a local search for a new Executive Producer to handle deal flow, funding and sale of finished programs.

Founder and Creative Director, Bob Manasier, who recently opened Diamond Point Advisory Group in Saratoga Springs states: “We are looking to return to our roots of creating original programs. It has been a long, fulfilling ride with branded media but the team needs to reignite our initial passion for creating original content and programs from our own concepts. With all our local enterprises, we are actively interviewing for a person to take on the Executive Producer role, as well as to become part of a very storied and tight team. Passion, integrity, a shared philosophy for collaboration and getting things done are key qualities.”

The current slate involves three TV entities expected to be produced over 2013-14, with the first TV movie expected to be completely produced in the Capital Region.

IFP Films has over 20 years of experience as a NYC full service studio creating independent programs for TV, film and direct consumption going back to its beginnings in the indie film movement of the 90s. With over 72 international program excellence awards, a cohesive production team that has been together for over 15 years and a cross-trained crew unit, the company has begun in-house development of a number of projects. In addition to TV properties and feature documentaries, there are films and direct edutainment. Early plans include a tween horror movie, a return documentary to Alaska and a baseball programming media brand, which ties in with Bob Manasier’s Little League experiences as President, coach and volunteer.

As the pre-production stage is being finalized with the Executive Producer search, investigations are also being made into potential locations, a script-writing reality series, sponsorships and business development. Bob Manasier further states: “ We are looking in the Capital Region for the right Executive Producer because of our recent success bringing Diamond Point here and to further our work with the local entrepreneur environment. Our system of royalty funding and in-story brand monetization needs a dynamic and experienced producer to enhance the system and to merge local resources. A new focus on social media and digital programming will be part of the position.”
