How To Geek Out About Life

North Kingstown, RI – Sept. 9, 2014: The next 1st Friday – 2 to 5 @ The Hive RI will be on Friday, Oct. 3. Come network with us, share ideas and make new friends. Bring laptops to finish your week’s projects. We will have snacks and games – – but feel free to bring your own favorites and beverages too!

The afternoon will wrap up at 4:45 p.m. with a presentation by self proclaimed Life Geek – Aria Mia Loberti, on how to geek out! “…Geeks share the characteristic of being audaciously infatuated, utterly enamored with a topic—big or small. What if you could translate this zestful verve to life itself? Discover the tools to live your life with enthusiasm and passion, no matter what obstacles you face.” Aria Mia will focus on four main principles about Geek methodology:

  • Express yourself. Cultivate a vivacious creative spirit by using whichever tools you have available
  • Devour knowledge. Be so curious about the world around you that, you don’t just seek knowledge, you require it
  • Be passionate. Fully embody whatever kindles your excitement, enthusiasm, and passion
  • Be true to yourself. Don’t’ let the world define you; stand up for what it is you believe and honor what makes you unique

Aria Mia Loberti is a multifaceted geek who can often be found with her nose buried in a book, devouring sci-fi TV episodes, filling sketchpads, creating new recipes in the kitchen, or exploring new frontiers via armchair traveling. A passionate spokesperson for blind and visually impaired students, she has advocated before the local and state legislature. Currently a homeschooled high school student and certified yoga instructor, Aria Mia’s post-graduation goal is to attend a university to study neuroscience or theoretical physics.
