Date/Time
Date(s) - 10/12/2013
All Day

FLAMES OF HOPE: A CELEBRATION OF LIFE™ was created to promote breast cancer awareness and education and to honor people living with breast cancer. It has grown into one of the largest awareness events in the Northeast with three inspirational days of education, support and hope.

On FRIDAY, the three-day event kicks off with the unveiling of the “Celebrate Hope, Celebrate Life” Calendar.

On SATURDAY, the weekend kicks into high gear with the opening of Flames of Hope Celebration Village. Visitors enjoy health screenings, healing arts activities, cooking demonstrations, informative lectures, music, and lots of family fun.

Saturday evening’s Flames of Hope Illuminations of Life torch ceremony is the pinnacle of the weekend. Breast cancer survivors and their loved ones carry torches in memory of those who have lost their battles with breast cancer, and to light the way for those who have yet to begin their journeys.  The Flames of Hope Illuminations of Life torch ceremony coincides with the final full WaterFire lighting of the season.

Saturday evening concludes with live music, dancing, drinks, and light fare at the ARS Pink Party.

On SUNDAY, runners and walkers will have the option of participating in four fun-filled races, collectively called the Flames of Hope Run/Walk Series. To register for the race series, visit Flamesofhopeseries.org.
