Envision Technology Advisors Plans for Growth and Hiring in 2013

Unemployment numbers for December are in and the report is mixed for Rhode Island. The seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate dropped to 10.2 percent for the month, down from 10.4 percent in November, but those numbers leave our state tied with Nevada for highest in the nation, well above the national average of 7.8 percent.

While the state as a whole continues making slow progress towards lowering the unemployment numbers, Envision Technology Advisors’ outlook for 2013 includes significant growth and hiring plans – the product of years’ of successful planning and execution.

“While the drop in unemployment has been welcome to see for Rhode Island as a whole, we here at Envision have been in growth mode for some time now,” said the company’s COO, Michael Ando. “Since the housing crisis in 2008, we have realized that our growth was going to have to be extremely focused and carefully executed.  Setting that plan in place early on has really paid off for us, with Envision poised to have one of its biggest years of growth in 2013.  The sooner companies realize that this economic state is going to be the norm going forward, the sooner they can carefully execute their growth strategy.  As more companies make a shift in their growth strategy, we would hope to continue to see unemployment numbers decrease.”

Envision’s hiring plans for 2013 call for a 20% increase in staff levels with positions being created in the organization’s engineering team, with both Systems Engineer and Engineering Support positions available, as well as in the company’s Website Design and Development group. The biggest area of expansion for Envision, however, is likely to be for the company’s rapidly growing Managed Cloud Services solutions known as Ground Control. These openings include Help Desk positions that will provide remote monitoring and support for Envision’s wide range of customers.
