Edward Ross of Providence Receives Salve Regina University Alumni Award

NEWPORT, RI – Edward Ross of Providence, R.I., a 2003 graduate of Salve Regina, was honored with the university’s Outstanding Young Alumnus Award during its recent Fall Festival Weekend.

Ross received his Bachelor of Science in Economics from Salve Regina in 2003 and currently serves as president and CEO of his startup company, TennisHub, an online booking and management service for tennis clubs.  Ross recently received the technology award for the 2013 R.I. Business Plan Competition, and TennisHub was named a most likely to succeed company by the Boston Globe.  Before creating TennisHub, Ross cultivated his expertise in product development and corporate strategy through over ten years in building health care startups.  Most recently, he served as vice president of business development for One Medical Group, one of the top health care start-ups in the U.S.

Salve Regina University, founded under the sponsorship of the Religious Sisters of Mercy, is an independent college in the Catholic tradition of education. Accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Salve Regina offers associate, baccalaureate and master’s degrees, the Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study, and the Ph.D. in Humanities.
