East Bay Center Receives Donation From Providence Journal Charitable Fund

CRANSTON, RI — The East Bay Center announces the receipt of a $5,000 donation from the Providence Journal Charitable Fund at the Rhode Island Foundation. In announcing the donation, Robert A. Crossley, MA, President/CEO of EBC said, “We fervently believe in a person’s ability to recover, and we commit ourselves to providing the highest quality of service, regardless of one’s ability to pay. We could not do so without the support of our community and philanthropic entities such as the Providence Journal Charitable Fund. We want to express our gratitude to them, and to The Rhode Island Foundation as well as to Howard Sutton, Publisher, President & CEO of The Providence Journal Co.

EBC is a nonprofit community mental health center whose mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals and families affected by struggles with mental illness and substance abuse disorders. Children, adults, seniors, and families throughout the state and surrounding Massachusetts areas are served at EBC, with the primary service area being the East Bay communities of Barrington, Bristol, East Providence, and Warren.

“The donation will be used to continue to strengthen programs working to support people living in the community, at a time of ever increasing need,” Crossley added.
