Cranston Chamber of Commerce to Offer $100 Introductory Membership

CRANSTON, RI – The Cranston Chamber of Commerce announced today that it will offer $100 introductory memberships to all new members in an attempt to increase membership and member participation. The new membership rates will go into effect immediately. To celebrate this announcement, the Chamber is planning a Business After Hours at the Bonefish Grill in Chapel View on Tuesday May 28.

Chamber President, Stephen Boyle told RISBJ, “A Chamber is the voice of the business community and the strength of a chamber lies within its members. However, we recognize the economic realities that businesses face today to meet payroll, offer healthcare, and manage utility costs.” Boyle continued, “That being said for the last year and a half  we have focused on becoming ” The Small Business Advocate” in the State of Rhode Island for our members in these particular areas.  To continue that role we need to grow our membership numbers and today we would like to announce a new membership fee of $100.00.  Our goal is to reach a minimum membership of 1000 members in the next 6 months and we believe that this fee will make it possible for a wide range of businesses to partner with us.”
